Older Brains May Benefit As Much from Socializing as Crossword Puzzles

For some time, there has been a push on for people who are not yet “elderly,” and those who meet that chronological number, to do crossword puzzles and other brain-stimulating activities to help them stay mentally sharp. (Scientists say these have no effect on patients developing Alzheimer’s.)

What about people who couldn’t do a crossword puzzle if faced with jail? They don’t have that kind of intelligence.

Good news for you folks. A new study shows social activities also protect the brain. While this is not news, in the brain protection department, people activities versus puzzle-word game activities needed a good look. This study is one.
