Telemedicine—in the biggest sense—is predicted to be part of our lives by 2015, +/- four years. There are many ways in which telemedicine can affect you but comfort is high on the list. For example, it may be possible to have your surgery supervised by a leading specialist across the country or even in another country. That won’t be the most common use but it gives you an idea of the potential.

A great graphic shows eight predictions of what’s the “next next,” five of which should have direct impact on you, the patient.

It’s a great way to see what is predicted, the time range anticipated and how the “mind-bogglers” will arrive over the next few decades.
