On October 20, a story by New York Times medical report, Lawrence K. Altman, M.D., explained what had and had not been disclosed about the candidates’ medical histories and why it matters.
These four have not been as forthcoming with their medical records as previous candidates.
McCain and Biden, both of whom have had life-threatening medical problems, produced the most information but not as complete as it should have been, the doctor-journalist wrote.
Obama submitted a physician’s letter which said he was in excellent health. One page.
As of today, Palin has submitted no information. Zero pages of medical information.
She and Obama should be eager to show off how fit they are. One page from him isn’t nearly enough. No pages from her is unacceptable.
Knowing about the health status of the people who ask for the privilege of leading us is as important as any other credential they provide.
These are people who really have a hard day at the office. Think about what one does to you.
Doesn’t that make the point?
How fit are they for duty?
We must hope the winners are.
